Bio

Thrashlord was formed in the Spring of 2018 in Victoria, BC, Canada by long time friends Dave Thruster (vocals) Dan Brazier (bass) and Rob Warenko (guitar) with the sole intent of playing something fast and fun. Drawing on influences by bands like Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Carcass, Judas Priest, Poison Idea, Kreator, DRI, Running Wild and more Thrashlord began work on their first few songs. Later that summer Thrashlord found their sound when well known drummer Doug Copley joined the ranks. That fall Thrashlord would write the songs that would later be featured on Kill Until You Die and spent the following summer playing extensively on the Canadian west coast, finishing up the summer with awesome performances at Awkwardfest and Van Isle Metal Fest.

After a long summer of ironing out the set in front of live audiences Thrashlord was ready to record their debut album.  They went to work converting their jamspace into a makeshift studio and started recording. After a winter of recording, mixing and reworking songs Kill Until You Die was ready and was released on June 5th, 2020 to a great response…For the next 2 years the pandemic slowed things down, however Thrashlord stayed active with releasing a 2 song single: When Eagles Fly, and a livestream performance. As soon as it became safe to do so Thrashlord was back on stage for several more local shows. In summer 2022 founding member and lead vocalist Thruster stepped down to focus on a growing family. Thrashlord currently has a second album mostly written and are busy auditioning vocalists.
